Home Line Furniture has humble beginnings rooted in 1960's Philadelphia. Sometime in the mid-1960's, a businessman by the name of Charles Verne opened a small bargain store in downtown Philadelphia named, "The Bargain House." After having some other mishaps and misfortunes with his business career, Verne decided that he wanted to open a furniture store and did just that.

Following in their father's footsteps, Joe and Lew Verne took over most of the day to day operations of the business and decided that the next best step for the business was to expand to distribution. What was once a small little shop on a Philadelphia street corner is now a fully fledged furniture showroom that has grown far from just a used furniture shop.

A great business opportunity presented itself to the brothers in the mid 1960's, an opportunity that would change the direction of the company forever. The brothers found a large lamp-sale happening in the nearby area. Buying a few hundred lamps at very discounted prices, Home Line Furniture sold almost all of them at regular retail prices in just a few days. It was then that Home Line Furniture went from just a furniture store to a distribution center instead. With their new business idea in hand, Home Line Furniture expanded all over the city and gained traction.

Home Line currently has two distribution centers located in both Chicago and New England, making delivery times as fast as possible for their customers.
